Pit dots---same series---Big, middle, small---The dots are between the A in regina and the spacer dot.

lambecolin if the dots grow over time, why in the last photo with the smallest dot is there also a die chip in the field between the neck and hair? Yet in what you say are later die stages, that chip has disappeared.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

The short explanation is different dies. This series has this die pit on all 730,000 coins. All dies produced from a master die which had the original pit.
The smallest dot is die A
The mid size dot is die A or B
The big dot is die C with the die chip.
