Nice coin..I think its called "split plating doubling" apparently only happens on zinc.

I do not see any indication that the threads and hairs are anything but surface debris. Split plating is occasionally seen on the peripheral devices of a normally struck Zincoln but it is more frequently seen on OCs and bradstrikes where the planchet can expand beyond the collar.

biokemist6, you can see where the black thead is attached; right side of loop and above 1st dot before UNUM. Tried to use compressed air to blow debris free then tooth pick, but found out they're attached.

The coin was not struck in a collar and thus the planchet moved/bent during the strike stretching the plating. It is still a nice off center.
