Quote: we had half and large cents not so long ago. I guess I COULD research the archives and see which thread we haven't done the longest.... It just seems like so much work...

I would like to see a category called 'Proofs and Patterns' I have not seen this topic before, but it could bring out some really interesting coins. In my review of the previous Days Of threads, this has not been done I suspect that we would have to separate the early years into decades, and end the thread with the 1942 Proofs. Something like this: Day 1 - 1793-1849 Day 2 - 1850-1859 Day 3 - 1860-1869 Day 4 - 1870-1879 Day 5 - 1880-1889 Day 6 - 1890-1899 Day 7 - 1900-1909 Day 8 - 1910-1935 Day 9 - 1936 Day 10 - 1937 Day 11 - 1938 Day 12 - 1939 Day 13 - 1940 Day 14 - 1941 Day 15 - 1942

IHC sounds like the popular vote. I'm in for three varieties. ...or we could have an " old copper" thread. Half Cents, Large Cents, Flying Eagles, Indians and Two Cent Pieces. ...or " Nickel Coinage" Three Cent and Five Cent Pieces ...or " Other" denominations; Half Cents, Two, Three and Twenty Cent Pieces. I don't believe that I have seen "Classic Commemoratives" yet. Just some suggestions to mix-up a few types.

I agree with oih82w8. It would be cool to see the different types of each year together. And maybe dedicate the first few days to colonials. Just an idea.
