1917-D Type 1 Standing Quarter

It's always a tough call from scanned images but you my be pleasantly surprised when you receive this. I'd say low AU details with surfaces tbd.

I received the coin. I had my expectations low, expecting a harshly cleaned coin....and was therefore pleasantly surprised. I believe the coin has been recently professionally dipped....meaning it was definitely dipped, but done in a way without killing the luster or making the surfaces look unnatural(other than the white look). The coin does not have excessive parallel hairlines, or the "glossy" look of a polished/scrubbed coin. I think it has a decent chance of making it into a righteous TPG slab. I would grade it AU-50. It has the luster to go 53+(strong cartwheel affect on both sides), but too much wear on the leg, breast face and reverse eagle breast and wing.
