I recently inherited a coin collection that includes hundreds of Olympic coins. A lot of these are "off-the-shelf" U.S. and Canada sets that are pretty easy to value using ebay, etc. However, many of them are individual coins from countries around the world. Searching the archives of this forum, I haven't been able to locate any sort of price guide that includes Olympic coins from other countries.

Where does the community suggest I begin the valuation and selling process? I'd prefer to do as much of my own pre-work as possible, before taking them to a coin dealer, coin show, or whatever the next steps may be.

Lots of great info here. Thanks!

Thanks for the excellent source! That's exactly what I was looking for.

I've seen Olympic coins in this batch from 1972-1988 but there might be more.

Why not start your own collection. Someone thoght enough of you to leave you those so why not try to make a collection with those in their memmory.

If you collect, you might stick around and post more. I have found many friendly collectors here.
