look at the mintages... granted the US is 1/2 a billion people or so, but 50,000 for the gold, and 400,000 for the silver dollar, and 750,000 for the 1/2 dollar. That's quite a lot in my opinion.

Quote: That's quite a lot in my opinion. I agree, the maximum mintages are quite high compared to RCM releases. You might be surprised, however, how many do sell. The US Mint releases just two commemorative program each year. Over the past decade or so, several silver dollars have been sellouts with maximum mintages of 500,000. These new baseball-themed coins have been getting a fair amount of attention in the general (non-coin) media. Watching their sales is going to be interesting.

I agree, I like the design. I find it very unique with how the 2 sides compliment each other. I wish I had money leftover to get a silver one. It will be interesting too follow. I like the process they used to choose the design. This is when I first heard about this coin, when the design choice was released. I wonder what the quality of designs would be, if the RCM would use this method.

I think the coin looks great especially the reverse, I would love to have both silver coins in my collection

I'll be in for the silver and clad versions. They're not going to be a huge profit coin IMO.

Yes, I may get the silver one for my collection. The silver mintage of 400,000 is too high for any opportunity to make money.

The market is supersaturated. Too much hyped. Prices will go up initially for those who receive the coins first before prices drop.

There was a note on the ordering page declaring the item to be on wait list status. Orders will be accepted but they have over sold and will fill them only when cancellations or payment issues occur. I believe the silver one to be the best. All have great detail, but the size of the silver is why I like it most. I think you'll be able to appreciate the coin's dome and detail better. Obviously the gold will be more sought after. Someone on the other forum posted a video on youtube showcasing the coins.

The coins intrigue me but not the mintage. Too high even for a gold coin.
