Whoa. I'm exhausted. It felt like an interrogation more than a survey. Same questions over and over again. Geesh - it's like coming home late after a night out with the boys. lol Really, I only had one issue with it and that was the inability to go back to correct an answer. On the part about how much you spend, I accidently put in a very low amount and realized it on the follow up question. Unfortunately, I couldn't go back to put in the correct number. Oh well, it looks like there are some changes to the MC program being considered. Funniest question was definitely this: "The RCM should: (Select one) Release fewer coins each year Release roughly the same number of coins each year as it does now Release more coins each year It does not matter / does not apply to me "Did anyone answer anything other than release fewer coins each year?

If I would know how exhausting it could be, I wouldn't bother even looking at this survey.

I certainly did not mind answering the questionnaires if it is used to improve the MC service, but as others mentioned, it was much too long, no ability to go back to answer questions, one question involved too large number of options to apply a relative ranking, no place to input a suggestion.
I think that they should send out shorter, much more targeted questionnaires. For example, ones which focused on storing, insuring, or another on account info: accumulated investment which could show final mintage.

I didn't get past the part where it said it might take 35 to 45 minutes.

I did it. It was actually a really good survey, but long as heck. I wonder how long it will take them to implement any changes...

Same here, that was long, but I guess worth it. I would have liked to be able to change an answer too... especially the one where I chose MY best advantage of being MC... and then this advantages was present in all the 15 next questions! :S
Anyway, I'm pretty happy to have done it.

I did the survey this morning. Hopefully someone from the community here will win the $1000 gift card! Definitely agree that there are too many coins produced. There should be a focus on quality instead.

I want to do it but the "35 to 45 minutes" doesn't help...... How many of you answered with the goal of improve the RCM releases and customer service and how many because of the $1000 prize?

It took me just under an hour to complete the survey! Whew!
I found most of the questions interesting and I thought carefully about my answers. I tried to be as frank as possible. In other words I didn't pull any punches.
Yes, like CC-Ottawa, I opted for fewer coins to be released per year.
I also asked for lower mintage, in the 3,000 to 10,000 range.
I hope the mint will take this survey seriously and make real efforts to improve.
I also got the feeling that the days of the dedicated reps for MC members might be numbered.

I was five minutes into the survey and then a message popped up saying I didn't qualify for the survey. ? Whats up with that? I've been a MC member for almost 6 years.

I am starting to wonder what this survey will actually do to/for collectors. The questions about a loyalty program seemed odd. I tend to collect just Canadian coins, and I've yet to find another Canadian mint to compete with the RCM for my loyalty. And I didn't like the idea of being able to switch points with the companies, as long as they were other government agencies. It would be nice if I could pay for other government programs using points but I'd rather not have the door opened to basically advertising on the coins to the highest bidder. Im not going to lie. I figured it would be a chance at $1000 credit that inially got my interest but after doing it, I had the feeling that the RCM might actually be hearing collectors complaints. There wasn't a whole lot they didn't cover. Some questions seemed a little intrusive as well, such as dollar amounts you spend at various coin outlets and if you collect other things such as antiques. That made me a little apprehensive about continuing the survey. It made me wonder if it was legit too but I did complete it. I'mglad to see others also did it and hope to see a posting of the $1000 spent on coins.

I would like to know why some of us got the boot so to speak?

Perhaps the series of similar questions is used to see if someone is not answering consistently. Did it still say you'd be entered in the draw?

I said less coins would be nice. In 2012, there was over 130 items listed in the annual mint report. That's a little much for even a very serious collector.
