Picked this up at the last Philadelphia Whitman sale. I think I have the Ryder number pinned down, but would appreciate a second opinion. And I'm still no good at grading colonials. I know, I know; probably cleaned, but should re-tone nicely.

It almost looks too good to be true. I don't think I have ever seen a colonial coin with surfaces like that.

The obverse looks like RR-7, but...........the shape of the numerals in the date does not quite match the illustration in the Whitman Encyclopedia.
So I'm not sure.

You know, it never even occurred to me it was April Fools day. I had actually edited my original response, which was going to be "is this some sort of joke". LOL

I really did pick this up at the Whitman show. And the price was right (free)! The dealer (a colonial specialist) who made them up wasn't just handing them out from a bowl though. He was rightfully proud of the little Civil-War-style merchant store card he designed, and emphasized how it was a limited run of like a thousand. Maybe they'll be worth as much as the real thing one day. Here's the reverse: Amida guessed first, though!
