I saw this last night and thought the 5 on the date looked funky. Damage?

I-Need-Help-With-A-Couple-More-Pennies!

And I've found a couple of these with soft lettering in the same spots. Is there such a thing as a "soft stamp" or "light lettering" error? Or perhaps it just happens to wear in the same spot?

The weak spots are most likely from a Grease Filled Die. The 5 on the 1975 looks like it took a hit from another coin.

The damage is parallel from the rim, so I'm thinking a vending machine, coin counter or coin wrapper damaged it. Nothing really interesting for a premium on your coin.
Rest in Peace

The 1975 cent is damaged ... and the other two are the result of a Grease Filled Die strike ... common and no particular numismatic premium.
