Hi--I'm new here on the Forum. I collect circulated foreign coins. Does anyone know of a dealer that sells type sets of each countries current coins. I am NOT interested in Proof or uncirculated Mint Issued set. I am looking for sets of each current coin in nice circulated condition.
Rest in Peace

Do you mean uncirculated (never used) coins? If you mean circulated you should just check the dealers 'junk' bins. Every dealer I've been to has had at least one. Also, have you thought about starting a OFEC (one from every country) type set?

Yes, I always raid the junk boxes at any dealer I happen to get to, but I live in a small town in Northern Michigan which has no coin shops. The nearest shop is over 50 miles away. So, I need to depend on buying online.

What I want is normal coins in daily use, not government issued specialty sets. I just want one of each of the coins in current general use by the public. They do not need to be "new", just decent looking. I'm looking for a dealer that sells one of each type as a set so I don't need to scrounge for each individual coin. As an example I would like a set of all the current coins for Canada from the 1 cent to the $2.00. Many dealers have older coins, but not the current ones.

No, not just 2014. I just want an example of each of the current series of coins. If a design type has been in use for the last 10 years with only the date changing, then any date during that period would be fine.

This site might help:- http://www.joelscoins.com/coinsets.htm

But I dare say ebay is a great source for what you want.

Maybe one way would be if any poster outside of the U.S. would just go to their local bank and get one of each coin denomination for me. I could send them payment for the face value plus postage either by Paypal or post.

Thanks for the link to Joel Anderson site. He seems to offer exactly what I have been looking for.

Antman,
en.numista.com may be of help. It is a trading group, based in France, which has collectors all over the world.
One thing of interest to you will be the years minted of a given coin and the mintages.
As this is a 'collector supported' group, the information should be used as fairly but not 100% accurate.
Consider it one more resource and nothing more.

Another option is after you get 50 posts and have been a member for a certain in number of days, you could start trading any extra sets you have with ones you need with other members here on the CCF.

Burley park in Howard City hosts a flea market on summer holidays, if you don't mind crowds.

Trufant flea market is great, every thursday apr through sept weather permitting.

Of course, you'll have to wade through a sea of "treasures" to find what you are looking for.
