Looking to buy my first early copper as a birthday present to myself. I've settled on the year 1797 and want it graded by PCGS. Not seeing a lot of options for my budget, but this one (see link) stood out. Help me out! Is this a decent price? Seems like the obverse is in pretty good shape for the grade.

By the way, there are two other listings for similar coins. I've attached those links as well. Let me know if one of them seems like a better deal than the one in my original post.

One sold G04 for $235.00 in 2012, check the link. I can't be of any assistance regarding US classics, but this might be something to go by.

Also have you looked up the PGCS number?
Here's the cert check http://www.pcgs.com/Cert/29212021/

Yeah I went ahead and got it. Money back guarantee if I change my mind, but as long as you experienced copperheads are good with it, I am too. Just wanted to double check. More feedback is welcome!

Since it is for your own birthday present, money should not be important. I would guess your not planning on reselling so again, price is not important. As long as your happy with it, want to keep it, don't worry about cost. Always be happy with spending money on yourself. Best person to spend it on.

My only complain is the color. Doesn't it look a little funny?

I'd buy it if I had the money but probably WOULD want to see it in hands.

It's ok. Old copper could take on many hues of brown.

G4 is the appropriate grade.

Brown? It's showing gray on my screen.
Maybe my monitor colors are off.
