It's not TOO outrageous... $5 premium for the radar... and another $5 premium for the notes being UNC... it's not as unreasonable as I've seen some other items on the bay...

If you really like them see if the seller would be willing to take a best offer?

persistnt: I just don't see many brickers buying 50+ K of notes searching for RADARS and the like... bricking can be very expensive and doesn't always pay off I am told...

I think this individual either has a really good relationship with the tellers at a central bank in their area and can get their choice pick of bundles/bricks that come in.... or this person managed to trade for them (a bit more unlikely but still possible)

I agree with all that...I have spent years trying to hav good relationship with tellers at bank (In fact my sister worked as teller here years ago)...I am friends but it really doesn't get me anything---The other day I got my same 9 rolls of 25c back that I had traded them 2 days prior...Leading me to believe they don't have as many good coins or even new notes for that matter as one would dream...Even if I was a teller there maybe only 1 % better for me to fair then now...So I can see how even a bricker has it rough..What is a Paper or coin collector to do?

Persistnt: I know of one fella in Sask... that can walk into his bank and they will show him all the new bundles and let him go through them and pick out any notes he wants for face... THAT's the kind of relationship you want to build!

One thing you have to remember is that the banks actually have to PAY to have the money available for their customers. We know that banks are more inclined to MAKE money than PAY money.. so they're not always inclined to keep bringing in new stuff when if they have enough supply for their customers that is in their bests interests.

Now I'm not sure exactly where you're from but I live in Winnipeg. I have 3 banks close to where I work that I occasionally visit on my lunch hours and then I also have another 5 banks within 2 blocks walking distance of my home. When I get the itch to do some searching I usualy visit each of the banks 2x per week.

If you have multiple banks to work with I would suggest you do it.. makes searching a lot easier..

Just think of all the searching to get these 4 radar notes, and people are still thinking double face is too expensive

The fact that they're each 1000 apart is interesting.... as I said it's not outrageous but it's still slightly overpriced... As a collector I would be a buyer in the $30/note range... but as things are... I would probably be willing to pay 26.50/note would be my top buy price... I have enough UNC journey radars I wouldn't really be willing to pay top dollar for these ones.

I just received a US dollar in change this morning.
Serial Number:

L 73000037 L

Is this considered a radar note?

Thank you. The store owner who gave it to me and I often chat coins.
He hasn't collected in years but he remembers a lot.
