If it is raised, it is probably a die crack. First time I've seen on in this area before.

Trying to get a super close up but the cup on the end of the scope I can't get it close enough. Bout to cut it down some to get more zoom I guess.

It's hard to judge looking straight down on it but best I can tell it has some ridge.

yeah dads been looking at it for a while now wit the eye piece out of a rifle scope lol.. hes been a machinist his whole life so not much about metal and stuff he doesn't know.. thanks again.. prolly my first serious real fine.. and just found that 82 dd rpm a few ago.. and just now a weird 84..

What do I always say with laminations? They usually are in a straight line. This is a die crack. Die cracks are uneven, flow over the tops of devices and in what ever direction it chooses.
