What type of camera and setup did you use? If a point-and-shoot, not bad.

haha just a galaxy s4. I can get better just need more lighting. dont mind the 2012 dime. but on the 1989 one it has 4 cuts on the chin. are those from the die? trying to learn some of the things to look for. also the E and R seem to be stamped or something wrong. I will snap better pictures tomorrow

Those are from contact with the reeding on the rim from another coin. Damage is incuse on the coin. A raised area is from a damaged/cracked/chipped/gouged die. The are incuse, so it is coin damage.
