Anyone had any experience with this seller? He seems to have far too many 'very' rare errors to be real. Only one error was returned as misdescribed that I can see but all his history is beyond the 12 month window ebay offers. Might have a very productive back shed Shane, what do you reckon? the first 3 I see as fake the copper 2c the obv has no RM on the trunk the crown is just wrong. the 3p he has can bee done by pressing a cupro nickel on to a silver 3p in press any way I would not buy anything from this seller . I have heard there was someone with a 3d printer making coins down junee wagga area (how I don't know) 3d printer are getting very good with time they can make a human body part so they could make a die or coin . just my 2bobs worth I would not report this one to ebay I would go straight to the Australian federal police with what he has sold you will see a pattern the real one like the penny miss strike he has he puts real dollar like $850 but the fake start very low

Hi Shane, thanks for your thoughts mate. I have to be triple sure before I affect a person's reputation and business prospects so I will chew over your suggestions for a bit. I can't see a lot of difference between this 2 cent on a one cent planchet and the one this seller has listed and I have complete faith in the integrity of Sterling $ Currency. http://www.sterlingcurrency.com.au/...uncirculatedGive me your thoughts if you have a chance. Thanks. darge.

I'm a bit confused Shane, they both appear to have rdm on the trunk to me. Am I looking at the wrong thing? You mean the trunk of the effigy's neck don't you? Don't want to bog down on this coin, it is more the double strikes I have an issue with. They are too easy to counterfeit and he has too many for them not to be fake. imo Anyone else have an opinion?

Hi! appleangel07 that was the reason I took an interest also, I had also intended to bid. When I saw it relisted I started checking a little deeper and found he has sold far too many double strikes to be plausible. [in my opinion] If he really has had that many genuine ones then they are as common as chalk and quite simply they can't be worth much. The coin was showing in his completed listings last night and it did sell for $294. I would hate to cast a shadow over an honest seller but my instincts are jangling with this one.

I've bought from him & never had any problems at all,the listing we're talking about could have been mutual cancellation for what ever reason & thats why it does'nt show in completed listing.

The 2c in the original post looks original to me. The obverse lettering has some fishtailing where the metal has flowed outwards instead of filling the die.

Hi appleangel07 and enworb I agree the 2 cent is most likely genuine, but I actually never doubted that one. I believe it is seriously overpriced but there is no crime in that. [not indictable anyway] I posted the listing number for that listing deliberately rather than draw negative attention to his shilling listing in case my concerns were unfounded. It is the double strikes I suspect. Have you looked back through his feedback to see how many he has sold? Far too many. imo
