Bored guy with tools. If the coin is pre-1945, you can call it "trench art".
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

I will get my tools out and change the 50 into a 40 and sell it as trench art, you are a genius sap. I might as well come clean with this one too and get all the headshaking out of the way ay once. Anyone familiar with the Australian half florin?

Ha Ha Good one. Might be a smaller slice than that left very soon, if Hockey is allowed to run amok we may soon have only an Australian Quarter Florin.

Just like to let everyone know that the seller made an instant refund when I pointed out that this was Post Mint Damage. [without requiring the coin to be returned] They were extremely polite and apologetic, I won't hesitate to trade with them again.

The seller who refunded was the 1950 penny seller incidentally, not the half florin.
Hi! Shane probably is a shed job but would it have to be laser/plasma cut to produce that edge? [not that I know anything about either] Would fetch a better price if the piece removed was considerably less. Does anyone know what the edge of a strip that the planchets are cut from looks like? I am probably deluding myself but I'm hoping that this could be a straight edge clip.
So not a typical edge for a mower cut coin zic?

The penny is just rubbish & the half coin is interesting but if it were a real straight egde clip why/how would it have had that much circulation ?
& the trench art coins are cool pennyman007

It could still be trench art. Korean War Trench Art. Probably someone just bored or trying out their new found engraving technique.

Definitely not engraved, it is hammered with a very crude non-polished punch. Nein, no lazer Mistah Powahz.
