Magnet and gram scale it. Loos interesting. I picked up a few steels today cause I wanted some.

It seems as though the steel is starting to show through at the center of the coin BUT could be a spot of light

Rupester has it correct. You can see where the zinc is showing through the areas with the slightest wear. (Cheek)

Magnet will tell. Also notice the reverse side T in cent? Looks like a branch clipping on a tree on the lower right side. Maybe PMD, plating process or a die crack Cud.
