Proof 63 Barber Half Dollar With Hairlines

Paul Bulgerin Pillar of the Community United States 3098 Posts	Posted 04/14/2014 9:03 pm I came across this 1892 Barber half dollar graded Proof 63 by PCGS. It has quite a few hairlines on the reverse and I am surprised it made Proof-63. I'm certainly no expert at grading proof Barbers (although I did once own a PCGS Proof-62 Barber dime that had no hairlines). Die Polish appears as raised lines above the surface of the coin. Die polish does not reflect light. Report this Post to the Staff
