I found this coin in a customer wrapped roll from the bank about a year ago. It's currently at PCGS, and due back in a few days. I was wondering what your opinions are on it.

were there any other interesting stuff in the roll, other than the 09S VDB? maybe it was from one of those events where they release a key date coin into circulation at a coin show. or maybe from a cashed-in grandpa's collection.

There were 18 or 19 customer wrapped rolls full of wheats, some mixed memorials and wheats, and 4 early date BU rolls of memorials. Most of the wheat cents were common dates. I found one BU 1925 D it's also at PCGS right now.

Pretty awesome Magers! Still looking for mine. Sounds like someone dumped a collection and you were in the right-place-at-the-right-time. I hope it comes back authenticated!

Wow--nice grade too--congrats! To my eyes it's 09-S VDB obverse #1.

Wow. Awesome doesn't even begin to describe how cool this is that you found this coin. I hope it comes back authentic and problem free. Anyone who FINDS an 09svdb deserves it. :)

Grade? VF35. Everything about it seems strong with wear in just the right spots.

Simply a cool story here. Congrats!
