With the new series of polymer bills, I see many people looking for radars, repeaters, ladders, etc.
I was wondering what some of the rare bills serial numbers are. I know with the 5 dollar bills, the HAM-HBG series are rare. Are there other rare serial numbers for 5 dollar bills as well as for other denominations of polymer bills?

Where did you see that they are rare? I personally need some references for the future.

I would imagine the info for rare prefixes and special serial #'s would be in the next catalogue as the current one only covers the 20-100.

I'm going to share in these next posts here...I have time today..never say I am not nice.. If it says prefix for 5.oo HB (HBG)that is polymer,,,HP_ (HPM,HPZ)means it is journey series..For the newest of OLd Journey series, needs to be high serial number like 972...... to 999...... IN prefix HPY, HPZ, also HAB , also HPA, HPF,HPG,HPM, HPU,HPV, as well... Other serial nu's for APF 2.360...to 2.400... , HPS needs 3.633... to 3.634...,HPB 7.106 to 7.107, HPE3.015-3.016, some above are sheet repl. and some Single note Replacement..enjoy.Hope yu can read my writing.....

I guess to get back on Topic- here is valuable info on Polymer 5.oo's, this info makes them more collectable in Future as AGcoinAU would say....1.First up- their is a changeover note here or 350,000 not much bills here, they are Macklem-Carney, Yes they exist....All other 5.oo Polymer are Macklem-Poloz (Stephen are man TY), so no other changeover notes here really, only lots of prefix's,say about 9 prefix already,(If I am wrong I am open to more posts). 2.Second, Serial numbers that are sheet or single Repl.. HBG has only a few 6.7Million,7.4,7.5, HBH has to be 943 to 944......,HBK has lots of Repl.notes starting at only certain 2.349,5.985,6.021,6.210,HBN has lots as well 7.2,8.,and 9.9's which seems to me like it is always the most common serial numbers that are repl. in any series of notes...Low numbers for HBP, HBU 7.056 to 7.065..... ,As always it is never (To me anyway)to many numbers in a row-miss by a few numbers yu hav missed by a mile-Or not a Repl.Note,,,I have been looking lots for these notes in both posts and hav not found one..Not one..and I have been working hard (Spending gas- time effort-etc.)..If yu find one it may be worth it because how about I say in March-April dollars it couold sell for 80.ooif ChoiceUNC.....I would keep it if I could find it...So Good Luck...and enjoy.. This info I can thanks lots of people, but also I wrote it from my private notebook...So keep it a Secret til August...Or I'll give yu a black eye!!

Am I correct in saying that when I look in the book and it says Macklem-Carney; EKR (8.640 - 9.000M) that this represents the range of serial numbers affected for this sheet replacement note Thanks in advance

I am going to guess that EKR is a 100.oo.I would say it is not a replacement (Could be wrong)Sheet repl. are FKA,&FKB...Single note repl. EKA<B some EKE>F,G,L, then it goes to EKU,>V.....For 5.ooPolymer HBU I thought that repl.was 7.056-7.065 not 9.0374..,I don't think that 10.ooFTC6.602...is a repl. note either...........But my G-list is old not Updated...The papermoney Society(Forum) can maybe answer yu..I don't hav much luck with them- they will not get back to me after repeated e-mals.... coinman and maddog that is why the info above is valuable..

I presented the info here for us collectors, for our benefit, and to spread knowledge..That is why I like the coin communityF..I thought that also was the paperMoney Forum people as well...but apparantly not..Maybe the info above is on their site someplace, I don't know they won't let me IN ...been trying for 3 months then finally gave up on them...We should put the info here for collectors....or get the PaperSociety to change some of its policies...They are supposed to be paperResearchers.. Yu must be right about that EKR...

CPMF does have a page with all the replacement notes and sheets for each polymer denomination. I am trying to have that info by the end of this week for anyone interested

I gather from the information by previous posters that my current find is not a rare $5.00 HBG note.

HBG ,nothing, I will say your note needs to be 9871... to be a Single Replacement. I do find that with plenty of prefix's that high 9's (997...)are often a Replacement. I don't seem to be able to find any replacement notes in circ- not one.,.Nowdays Repl.notes are all over the map.,.Can anyone say if Bof C is tilted or is it Print companies that are confusing.,.?
