Never graded anything before, I'll guess this is somewhere between G4 and VG8 based on the descriptions in coinsandcanada.com. I'll take an average and say G6.

Around the raised parts it's not as white or reflective. I'm not sure what it is, looks like dirt in hand, but acetone and xylene didn't work.

I'd grade it F-12.

Is it just me, or does it look like there's a die crack on the obverse to the left of the G in GRATIA.

Apparently I undergraded it a little bit.

Question, if a coin is much more worn on one side than the other, would it still be given just one grade?

Collectinator, I just checked the coin, but I can't tell if it's a die crack or scratch. I'm not feeling anything stick out there when I rub it with my fingertips or gently using my nails. With my kind of luck it would be just a scratch though.

The round thing looks like a little hole.

VG-10 - F-12
To be a V-8, the laurel leaves would have to be worn away.
