It looks like someone plucked up the 1825 before it got into ciruclation. That's a very nice coin.

Even though this was 170+ years ago I'm surprised coins struck this much off-center circulated for such a long time. I would have guessed that they would have been saved as curiosity pieces, even though a shilling was a chunk of change back then.

Here in the States we call them Off-Centers.

(I have heard the term Off-Struck, too. Maybe someone in England can help us here).
