That is a beauty. Absolutely MS imho. I would go 62, maybe 62+...falls just short of 63, but I suppose they could give it a small bump for color. AU-58 would be absolute minimum.

where is the wear? I see near fully frosted devices and fully lustrous fields. I'd be shocked if this was lower than a 58.

The pic has been taken trough the slab, so half of the potrait seems a bit dull.

I'm going to reveal the grade in the morning.

Can't see any wear, rims are nice, nice luster.
Nice die crack under 'UNITED STATES'.

Attractive coin.

Scratches on the neck in the field behind the hair, and light one on the cheek, light scuff in fields, both sides.

Hard to get Eagles and Double Eagles in super high grades, because the gold is soft.

MS61.
Those larger scratches don't help. That is a pity.

I guessed MS-62 before and I see others going at AU. I don't see why, there is no wear on the coin and it shows some nice frosty devices albeit with a few field issues (minor).

Definitely MS. In the 61 or 62 range.

Seems this one has been somewhat undergraded then.

I am thinking MS62 myself, atleast.

This is graded MS60 in an Old green holder.
