Hi Folks
Have a question concerning some one dollar notes. if you look at the left serial number and the last zero's. My question is can anyone from the photo's tell me if it is a minor insufficient ink or was whiteout used. I am only asking as I received e mails claiming that white out was used to alter the numbers. I know photo's are not the
best way to see the notes but am just curious to get some other opinions. Thanks

I agree -- photos are not the best way to tell if there is white out on the note. If something was used to 'paint' over the zero then I would expect that you could see it in hand. White out is thick and I would think it would be hard to miss. You should be able to feel a change in texture if there was something added to the note.

My best guess is that some lint got onto the plate.

Idea; I assume you have this listed on ebay, and anyone that has used white out knows how white/white it is, and would really stand out.
My suggestion would be to add a "sample" note in the listing with white out added in numerous spots and label as such.

If it was liquid paper used, surely the colour would be different, even if there was an attempt to make the colour the same.
