From Italy today, in a group of error Lincoln Cents, was this one labeled "Blank"...yes, pretty much blank on reverse, but, it's the obverse that blows my mind..there IS some sort of pattern reverse, but, hard to decipher at this point...I think I'll just post pics, and, answer questions as they arrive, rather than get into another "Calvin is seeing things again" mode....stats: 3.70 grams..same diameter as a Lincoln Cent(spot on, when stacked), at 19mm...scuff on rim shows copper base.coin in question on left.....sure looks like LIBE, in proper area, yet, hits profile too soon...head raised so much, the other areas look sunken, except "pimple", opposing LIB. I cannot see a date, or, anything resembling memorial..fake.foreign coin..cent...cast..error..I have not a clue..
Opinions welcomed!
Thanks
Calvin G.

here's a closeup of the top of the "pimple", right side, near rim. My uneducated guess is these "lava lines" indicate some sort of hot, molten metal..I have a cast colonial with similar lines.

Maybe BUS, from PLURIBUS...I am leaning towards NOT being a Licoln Cent..what this is, I have no idea at the moment...maybe a foreign coin, which will be tough to figure out...I always like a good detective story..this is one...gonna send pics to Mike D.

Weight is way to heavy. Almost looks like it was hollowed out and then filled with another metal. (Lead base to account for the higher weight?)

Second possibility, just a regular cent with some opaque glue like substance smeared on the reverse. That would also account for the higher weight.

Maybe Coop meant "Bust mirrored on left side". I can think of several possibilities as to what happened. Cant wait to hear more from the experts.

"Maybe BUS, from PLURIBUS." Yeah that would make sense. For some reason I thought BUS was an acronym for something.

This may not even be a coin? I see no upset milling on the rim. It could be just a slug?
