I would say a very old water and rag type cleaning that left a lot of that wash type rub out. I am not sure how the TPGs would treat it. If a grader on the "wrong" day were to make a big deal of they way some of the surface is rubbed said grader might mark it VF Details. Either way the variety is stellar and coin itself is awesome. My 1814 is not nearly as nice in VG8 as well as lacking the die pairing. Awesome Germanics. Report this Post to the Staff
