I bought this a couple weeks ago and was looking at it closer yesterdayand thought I could see where it had been cleaned, mostly on the obverse. I figured I'd check with the experts

Hard to tell from these pics. The obverse looks a bit light, maybe an older cleaning.
Rest in Peace

There might be an old cleaning but the pictures are not of good enough quality to tell. I'd grade it around Good VF.

There's also a small dent on the top left where it looks like something may have dropped on it or something. Would that change the grade at all?

I don't see a complete separation of the ribbon, so I'm at VF35. It does look like it was lightly cleaned sometimes in the far past.
