This dollar-sized World War II-era Mexican victory medal (Grove 542a) was a tribute to Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill.

Note that there seem to be 4 men pictured instead of 3. due to a striking error.

Yeah, FDR and Churchill are both doubled, and the whole legend looks drastically doubled also. You DO find them, don't you?!

Yes, I see them, though FDR doesn't look much like FDR.

BTW, here is the reverse -

I think there are clearly four original faces, and the Cuss is likely right: the second from the left is probably Avila Camacho.

This is the place to learn new things! The name Avila Camacho didn't ring a bell with me.

Is it possible that the artist actually snuck in the President of Mexico?

I think I have a copy of Grove's Medals of Mexico around here. Now I need to see if this piece is pictured!

Thanks all!

Wait a minute. By the date at the bottom, we can see the second strike is just rotated 10 degrees or so. The third face from the left doesn't look like a second image of any of the other three profiles. Does it?

BTW, I wasn't being snarky (for once) when I said "You DO find them, don't you?!" - I meant oddball pieces.

Actually also looks to be some ghosting of Stalin that sort of blends into the first FDR... you can see the nose.

To me the extra man looks like Abraham Lincoln. Remarkable what an overstrike will sometimes do.
