Thanks, I'm not really a lincoln collector, but when I saw this one...I knew I had to get it. I don't really know how to grade these but I'm thinking it's at least an MS63? I'll know more when I actually get it in hand.

I'm not a Lincoln guy, but to me that's 65 at least.

Im leaning toward the coin being better than 65 ! and more in the 67 to 68 Brown range ,,bigger pics would help once you get the the coin in hand !

Just for the record, there is only one of these in the PCGS Pop in MS Brown (a 63), and the highest MS Red/Brown is MS65. Lots of Reds, including 27 MS67's, but very few in the other colors. Can you say, Top Pop? I thought you could.

I would go about MS-66RB. That is a very nice looking lincoln. Would make a great addition to any typeset in a 7070.

Very nice! Just keep buying coins you don't collect and you'll have a collection of beauties.

wow - that coin is definitely a high mint state- Id say even a 65! Definitely a good idea to get it grade :-) But I honestly do not know the value of a 36 lincoln - is it worth it? Ill have to check the Red Book :-)

They're relatively common in Red, and that's a problem. This is a technically superior coin - I would buy it in a flat second - but of reduced value because the serious collector can fairly easily find a Red example, albeit in a lower grade. This is one heck of a coin. In 20 years it's gonna be worth major money, because the Reds are darkening as we speak.

Once we get bigger pics ,,it will be much easier to know for sure where this coin is going to Grade,, but from the pictures provided the prime focal areas of the face, hair, shoulder the fields in front and in back of the effigy, and the One Cent on the reverse appear to be remarkably clear of detracting marks. This fact alone makes the coin above average,, add that to what appears to be an above average strike for the series and year,, as well as great eye appeal and this coin is well on its way to the winners circle.
If it grades 65 or above even brown this coin will attract alot of attention ,,and book values or known values can be forgotten about ,,it will create its own market .

I checked Coppercoins.com for a peek at their listing for what appears to be a very nice MS65BRN, and in that grade would be worth aroung $28.00. This coin sure looks like it will fit the grade! Congrats on a nice purchase! Dick
