Don't see much talk about the 2014 Pope John Paul II coin...

I am not into religious coins so I have no interest in this or similar coins. On the other hand, this coin is "awaiting stock" at the Mint and is doing not too bad on ebay with ending sales well above issue price.

Perhaps this is not surprising when there are billions of Catholics in the world. John Paul II was a very popular Pope and was made a Saint just last weekend.

I bought two of the silver coins from the post office. I bought one at the post office in downtown Windsor, and the other online from canadapost.ca - free shipping to the US. I love the coin

We were really surprised with the response on this coin. We certainly did not expect to see such demand. A nice design for sure but was not one we sat here thinking "wow that ones a winner!".

I thought this coin was a "No Brainer".
The 2005 $75 Gold Pope coin did really well and still demands a premium in the secondary market.

My coin is 5200 of 8500 if that means anything.

The movie Religulous had a profound influence on my perception about religion... but I digress.

Not for me, but I do like the artwork.

Means, depends on the depth that you want to research.

Immediate things:
5200==>5+2+0+0 = 7 - very good number
5200==>5-2-0-0 = 3 - except being "good" number it also repeatable number in the several religions - just take a look on the number of the cups on the image (3)
5+2 = 7, the same as 2+0+1+4 (2014) = 7 - it written on the coin - the year of the canonization.
