Was at the LCS going through junk silver boxes, this confirms what they told me they do not cherry pic them

When you found it, you should have said "Hey, I just found a key date in your junk bin."
Nice find. Should be worth at least $100.

Agreed, OldSkool - awesome find. I really do like junk silver and need to buy it more. Mostly my bullion guy has shiny '64 Washingtons, which are nice, but get boring after a while.

It was super cool!! I'm sure its snuck through the radar it kinda looked like someone had popped coins outta a folder the dates were just very in order I grabbed quite a few 30's but they only this one a 40d and a 39s were major keepers other than the 32 D I may upgrade the others to au/bu someday but man o man I cant tell ya how many 1932's I have looked at and when I saw that mintmark..i was floored!!

Quote: and who says you can't cherry pick anymore? Actually I've never heard anyone say this. But seriously thats a cool find! Congrats. My dealer can't keep enough silver in for me to look through. Only 4 or 5 silver quarters max! At least he says that's all he has!

I like to go through the junk silver boxes at LCS. I have cherry picked two 79-CC VG Morgans, and a few nice VAM's and quite a few nice over MM Buffalo nickels. You just never know what the dealer does not have time to look at, even in low grade, and throws in there. Just the same I alway keep looking.

You got a great score there! It is possible to find 36-D, 32-D, 32-S, the big three keys, in 90%. I named the three in ascended order with the 32-S being the toughest to find and one of the reasons I think it is a bit undervalued relative to the 32-D. But when you think about it all of the other are basically junk plus silver (they trade at a few face value points above melt) except for these three which is why you always have an APB out on them going through 90% or bargain boxes cause you never know what someone else overlooked.

That's an extremely good return on your money! Maybe next time you go back to look in the junk bin there will be a '32-S there waiting for you! Probably not, but you never know!
I agree with John1 on the grade, as it is very well circulated. However, that is an AWESOME find; keep up the good work!
