I'm curious about how you acquired these rolls. They look hand-rolled, not mint-rolled. I would question any claim of uncirculated without seeing them out of the rolls. If they are circulated, they are worth one cent each.

Quote: They look hand-rolled, not mint-rolled. The mint didnt roll coins then, or now on any non-promotional basis. I cant speak in regard to the originality of the 64/63 rolls, but a few others look original, specifically the red/white wrappers. Others are hand-rolled. Many of the coins do look unc and should sell for a premium. If you look through completed auctions on ebay, it should give you an idea of the value of your coins. Good luck sorting and selling!

I know..but you dont..that they have not been circulated. I am not an idiot ..well sometimes I am not. i know in business, me saying they have not been circ. does not mean squat. so I refer my questions to those who know more than I

Looks like a fun bunch to go through and you're fortunate to have it regardless of what the sis did.
You've come to the right place for schooling on your collection. It's not living if you don't learn something every day.

If the coin doesn't have any wear, it is still uncirculated.

Quote: .if rolls are opened,,does that mean they are circulated ? No, it just means they are no longer original bank wrapped rolls. Like Matteproof said until they have visible wear on the coin they are uncirculated, even if they have circulated.

The older rolls are incredibly common and finding a buyer is difficult. The CopperCoins site is good for identifyinfg varieties of potential value and Gems can bring great money but for the main part these coins are best spent.
Some of the later BU rolls are quite elusive and can bring large premiums because people didn't save them. This especially applies to rolls from the '90's and '80's but any post'64 roll can be a better date and some are underpriced as well.

The zincs are very fragile and willpick up finger prints or start corroding very easily. The reason some of these is valuable is partly all of them aren't common and some of them tend to have turned bad.
