Hello Forum members,

Ive put one off my rare coins in an Denmark auction. They auctioneer told me the coins got also put on coinarchives.com . Maybe my searching is wrong. But I can't find my coin.

The coin I consigned is an Demi franc 1807 M . Very rare coin not confirmed in Krause.

Can anyone tell me if you could see the coin in coinarchives.com . That I just did the wrong search? The auction is an denmark auction maybe that made a difference?

Here below the coin. I hope someone could give me the coinarchives link. It is just for documenting about this piece for in the further.

Best wishes,
Vincent

I assume the auction hasn't actually happened yet? The section of CoinArchives that is viewable for free only goes back six months; if you want to see the whole database, you have to pay a huge subscription fee. But current auction items should all be visible. Perhaps CoinArchives hasn't gotten around to putting the info from that auction online yet.

When I'm looking for such a coin, I head to delcampe auctions.
An '07A was sold recently for 45.5 euros, it had a BIN of 50.
This piece had terrible scratches on the obv.

Hello Sap and Fioti,

Thanks for your reactions. The auction I ment is in may 14th I believe. So I think you should see it at this moment right? Or can you only see it when the auction is ended?

Hi Vincent. I think it takes a while for coinarchives to be updated and it can be a challenge to use the right search terms for them to show a particular item! I also notice that while sometimes they have forthcoming sale items, when I looked today they suggested a link to Numisbids.

I assume your coin shows on the actual auction house site? If there's no photograph linked to the listing I'm not sure if it will show. Or maybe it's just a matter of waiting a bit longer for it to be picked up by either of the two above?

Hello Tom,

It can be find on this website: http://www.bruun-rasmussen.dk . Auction 848 lot 548. I have no clue how they should link that picture to numisbid or coinarchives. As you say it is hard to find coins. Maybe I did the wrong search words. But I think because of the reactions you can't find it yet on those websites. First time I heard that they link it to coinarchives so I am new at this.

Shame I recently saw it in coinarchives. But It was after the auction.
Did not get sold unfortunatly. Still I think that it should be easily getting over 1000 euro's is this is the second known example. Has not been sold in an auction yet. Even though the quality aint good. The 1807K was sold for 1040 euro's in less rare but better quality.
I will wait till I get an good offer again and then I will see again.
