Picked this up on ebay today for about 50 cents under melt, plus shipping. Pics are seller's pics. What do ya think?

I think you should be happy getting it for melt or less. Always a good deal. Pretty good condition too by the looks. Hopefully nothing too bad with shipping. Nice grab!

VF-30, quite possibly cleaned? Not too sure 'bout that.

VF30. I agree it looks like it was cleaned. Two things stand out. The dull surface and for a coin with this circulation you would expect to see some dirt imbedded in the devices

Looks real to you guys, though, right? Weight was 12.46g, so that seems good. I just always worry about stuff from ebay.

I'm thinking VF-30 cleaned. Seems legit although IMO this is only worth spot.

Thanks guys! I expect it has been cleaned, but since I got it for under spot (before shipping), I'm not complaining. I pretty much bought it to have as a pocket piece, since Franklins were always one of my favorites, and the others I have are better and with good luster/cartwheeling.

Looks like some scratching on the obverse. Probably VF-20
