If that complete set is "all there" and the collector carefully put together the set as a medium to high-grade circulated (or better) set, yes $3000 could be a bargain. There's a lot of "if's", though.
That first coin has been extremely harshly treated. Notice how chalky white it looks with rusty toning and overall just rough. It might have been dipped in nitric acid or some other strong stripping agent. The corrosion doesn't help either. I talked to another collector who saw that coin and says it shouldn't retail more than a tenth of what that bid is at now. To me, the coin is virtually worthless except as an education piece to show others what to avoid.
