Late die state? The mint mark looks really worn, but this coin still has amazing cartwheel luster, and the steps tell me that this is really close to being MS. Loomis bank box find tonight. It's my first 50 D. I don't know the series well enough to grade it, but I do know that it looks better than the one that's currently filling the hole in my album.

Nice find Scotty! I'm not too good with these but I'd guess a weak strike, MS-62.

I'd grade it an AU-58 slider. MS-62 does sound very possible. What a find! Congrats!

I've actually found more in this condition, than well-worn ones. Many were stashed, & for whatever reason, are seeing the lite of day, Very nice, btw.

Looks like a slider but I have not studied Jefferson grading in depth. Nice steps though, so close to complete. Grats- great find.
