Ok so I go threw all of my pocket change now a days. I really started after my condo burnt down. I guess I am just trying to keep my mind busy. Well On this 1981 P quarter the mint mark P seems to be really small to me or something seems to be up with it. Also on the reverse there seems to be something off. I am not really sure what it is. It might just be a little off center and I know that is common. Also I say this in all my post. After my place burnt down I do not have a good camera anymore to take pictures with. I have no choice but to put the coin in my scanner. So I am very sorry for the pictures. Thank you.

From what I see in most Quarters, especially of the 1980 range, is that the mint mark is always too small. I think its a typical mint mark, nothing special.
I don't collect a lot of quarters, but I do remember some of the dates - 1979 and 1981 - some of the coins can have a different variety of mint marks.
Whether those apply to quarters, I don't know.

The rim on the reverse is a tad thicker on the top of the coin than the bottom, but it looks like its well within tolerance, or considered a "normal coin".

Keep Digging ! Something will ring the bell sooner or later.

Thank you I do appreciate it. I have found a lot of coin where the rim is a lot thicker or it looks like it is off center. Since I have seen so many I just figure it is normal. Thank you for your comment.
