Hey I might have a clipped Jefferson nickel. How big of a clipped planchet will be considered a "Error".

Any clip would be considered a mint error.

All clipped planchets are error coins. Saying that "this isn't an error because the clip is too subtle" is like "a baby is too small to be a human."
