Wait for ebay to bill you at the end of the month for the fees. :)

Glad you didn't lose too much on it, but I stand by what I said. A cleaned coin is a cleaned coin. All you did was make your problem somebody else's problem. But that's okay, the more people I can convince to overpay for problem coins, the better... nothing wrong with extra liquidity in the market!

Well, if they bill me, that will be fine too. I paid 42 dollars for this coin, and then I sold it for 42 dollars. I sold it just to see if you guys were correct in your assertion that it was worth near melt value. The insinuation that I made a poor business decision made me angry, and of course, that assertion turned out to be false.

You guys want to sit here and tell me that I made a foolish decision, but I have prooved you dead wrong. Where are we to go from here.

Do you want to see some of my other coins, so that I can educate you as to their value?

Several legitimate arguments that make total sense to the brain dead have already been presented. You choose to ignore them all. People are bored and have moved on.

Hey, I have some land in Florida I would like to sell you. Don't worry, it's unpolished.

Sarcasm, eh?

Yes, we definitely know what we're talking about.

1) That makes no sense at all, land cannot be "polished"
2) you are breaking the Selling rules.

Listen to the experienced collectors, as they are much knowledgable in the value of coins than a few guys in the internet that have no idea that they are overpaying.

Nobody here has any reason to lie to you. They are informing you of their gained knowledge over years of collecting, selling, and buying, just because you got lucky on a sell doesn't mean it was a good buy. If I play the lottery and win was that a good decision? Even if the odds are almost certain that I will lose? To be good at buying and selling long term you have to make your decisions on overall odds and good deals, not the occasional lucky break. You got lucky this time, but if you continue to do this you will lose money, that is a fact.

Trying to argue market value with "serious numismatists" is like playing chess with a pigeon. It craps on the board. Knock several pieces over, and then goes off to sing to it's friends of it's victory.

Hahahaaa.....

$42 minus paypal fees nets $40.67... Then factor in eBays fees which are about 8%... You're at $37 and change already. Let's say you ship it as cheap as possible, still gonna cost ya about $3... suddenly you're at $34 and change. You lost ~$8, or around 20% of what you spent on the coin... that's the definition of a bad business decision.

I'd love to see your other coins, post them up here. Nothing I like more than laughing at some fool who overpaid for everything and cops an attitude about it.

"Market value" doesn't mean the money that a fool overpays for polished junk. If you are thinking it is, then you are wrong, wrong, wrong.

Creating nonsense by yourself and living in your happy world of your rules and overpaying fools?
Just listen to the experienced collectors before you are laughed at by the entire community.
Oh wait, I think most already are laughing at you.

Right, but the fact remains that the coin sold for the exact same price that I bought it for.

You "serious numismatists" have no idea of the market value of a coin.

I was right to buy this coin for the price I paid. You guys were wrong in your appraisal.

Read a book or something.

So you're admitting you made a bad business decision? Also just because one fool overpays for a coin doesn't make it worth that much. Watch the buyer return it once they realize it's a polished piece of crap.

Since I want to see the rest of your coins, look at a few of the coins I got back from grading today... Let's play count the number of coins worth over $300!
My-First-Peace-Dollar!

I can tell you the market value of every one of those coins. Heck, I already sold three of them.

We were wrong in the appraisal?
We told you the actual market value of your coin; what a knowledgeable person may pay for it.
We didn't expect a fool to overpay for the polished coin.

We should read books?
Go read a good book on numismatics yourself, and LEARN, dude. LEARN.

Please stop making a fool of yourself, and learn when you are given the chance to.
