How can you tell when extra wide letters are from double die? I see some doubling but no idea? I've seen DDO's listed that said extra wide lettering is the DDO and it's really confusing, any help? Thanks!

For circulated quarters, they can bw quite difficult to see. Remember what I showed you about the 1969-S cent and the Machine Doubling. It applies to most coins in respect to the Machine Doubling.

Take a look at this example. It shows a touch of "extra thickness" BUT the corners on most letters are NOTCHED:

For Doubled Die Quarters, there are a few decent resources.

On NGC, some examples have pictures, others do not. At least it gives you a reference of which years the grading service will consider to have a RPM DDO or DDR.

Pick the coin type you want to look at. PGCS puts MS coins first, then at bottom the Proof and special coins.
IF the coin listing has a PLUS SIGN in the FAR LEFT column, expand that to see an additional listing such as a RPM DDO or DDR.

CONECA Master Listing - has a wide variety of, well, varieties and errors. Most of the master listings don't have pics, BUT they explain what you should see on the coin. Remember, if your coin's die state differs from the listed coin, the markers more than likely will be different and not match up. Here is the master Listing site:
