Heres another one I'm thinkin of sending off to the PCGS, this one I picked up in a wholesale lot. Its bright, scattered contact marks. I do see any big hairlines. Any opinions on grade I would appreciate.

Good AU again? Not seeing the field or luster very well in these pics.

My guessing it is high AU or MS, but lightly polished. The scan clearly shows strong luster on the outer side of the stars, but no where else. It looks like it should have more luster but was rubbed off, and if it is "bright" as you described; my guess is that it would land you in a problem holder. Even if problem free AU, it is really not worth slabbing for any more than authenticity reasons....and if the weight is right, I would not bother getting it authenticated as this is a very common date. Nice coin though....gold is ALWAYS fun!! :-)

Scanners invert the appearance of luster. This coin is very lustrous in the fields and faded around the periphery.
