The scan clearly shows strong luster on the outer side of the stars, but no where else. It looks like it should have more luster but was rubbed off, and if it is "bright" as you described; my guess is that it would land you in a problem holder. Even if problem free AU, it is really not worth slabbing for any more than authenticity reasons....and if the weight is right, I would not bother getting it authenticated as this is a very common date. Nice coin though....gold is ALWAYS fun!! :-) Report this Post to the Staff
