Hello everyone,

I'm not a very serious collector.
More like an opportunistic one. ;)

Recently I've acquired two BIG coins.
One's a 1964 Kennedy half dollar;
The other's a 1927 Standing Liberty quarter.
The weird thing is that each coin is 3 inches (76mm) across.
They're perfect in every detail (I think)
no mint marks (Philly?)
Not sure what the metal is.

Has anyone seen anything like this before?
Does anyone know what they are?

they are novelty bullion round most likely. I don't know for sure it would work in this case but using the tissue test might tell you whether or not its silver metal content. all I saw was ones made of cheap base metals when I looked around a bit but its quite possible they exist too and I just didn't happen upon it.
these are a private issue, the us mint was involved in no way with it. (well, unless you consider the initial act of creating the designs that they used/copied.) even if it had a mintmark it wouldn't really mean anything as to where it was made.

Thanks for the info, and the welcome.
They'll still be interesting additions to my eclectic collection.

Like Conder said. These are found in novelty shops and are just coasters. There is no bullion in them.
