BH1964............................ Quote:Your coin looks PO-01 but only a TPG can decide if it's an identifiable date/mm combo. If it is a 1973-D PO-01 then PCGS shows a big fat ZERO in their Pop Report for it. May I please ask you, the PCGS (POP) report for PO-01..... Eisenhower dollar 1974 (D)? AND 1976 (D) Eisenhower dollar? Any assistance is most welcomed, and thank you

None for the 1974 D and only 1 for the 1976 D type 1 ; none for the type 2
Lowball collecting is a very low population area of collecting. Only the most discerning collectors can appreciate a lowball coin. And certainly the amout of collectors that will slab a lowball coin is even fewer

If-might-should-could-maybe it was for sale, I will not slab. That would take the mystery out of the situation. I would just ebay it ... at a price I can live with. Parting ... is such sweet sorrow

Quote: Any one who would venture a guess about the RAW Auction value of this coin, please offer your opinions My views as a dedicated and knowledgeable low-ball collector ... As-is the raw coin is certainty an interesting curiosity ... and likely worth $5 to $10 if sold raw. However ... get the coin into a top TPG holder as PO01 ... which it technically is ... then it is worth much more to low-ball fans. As I stated earlier ... I have doubts that this coin ... lovely as it may be ... would certify due to lack of positive identification of the date. David

Crusinfusion Quote: I remember this thread. Whatever happened to the coin? I received this IKEs in one of my first bags. Confessing: Even now, after (maybe) 1,200(+) hours of study-searching-learning about coins I still am a very relative newbie. My coin STUFF issues evolved back and forth between selling on ebay. Just to get a feel for the ebay world. Tricky. Sold only a few coins. Considering that few coins only a TEST for selling on ebayAnd (evolved) more importantly getting new bags, for the AU, and stacking BU. My feeling were as long as I could get a BAG for FACE there was no way to loose. In a weak thought out, stupid gone postal, bipolar moment I slopped it up on ebay, and had listed in the wrong way. Embarrassed to admit how little I had to send it to a new owner. Oh well, easy come easy go. IMO, after studying more on low balls this is a PO-01 coin, and I really regret some one forced me to sell.

That is truly one of the rarest coins in the world and I thought I Would never see one. But I am not convinced it is natural wear so to me it gets a detail grade.
