This note was the 3rd note of a consecutive group of four that were submitted to PCGS at the same time. This note is the "C" position, or 3rd note, in the group. The others that were with it were the "A", "B" and "D" notes. These notes were printed in four note sheets. When the sheet was cut the notes were kept together. Looks like they've now been broken up and sold individually (unless you've got the other three).

It means it was the third note on an original uncut sheet of four notes--that was later cut apart.

The first note on the original sheet would be Serial # A27088341, and has the plate position A

The second note would have serial # A27088342 and have plate position B

Your note has plate position C

The last note on the sheet would have the serial # A27088344 and plate position D

Interestingly enough, another cut sheet of four sold on Heritage in 2008. The serial numbers are close in range. http://currency.ha.com/c/item.zx?sa...=15221#Photo

Sorry for the lengthiness of this reply.

So does it have any effect on the valu or desirability of the note one way or the other?

Good looking note, starbux.

I wouldn't think so, unless you had the rest of the notes from the sheet. Or at least one more.

It's value now is that of a "single" note. If you were somehow able to obtain the other three notes from the sheet you could then market them as a cut sheet. Not a huge increase but someone would pay extra to get it.
