So now I will tell the tale of how I found it.
T'was as hot, humid day in my Grandmother's front yard. Legend (house records) has it that the house dates back 54 years. I spent about half an hour of my precious spare time finding nothing, with not a signal to be found. I was walking back to sit in my chair with a nice Coke Zero but left my coil still hanging down behind me like I always do when I heard the low, unattractive zinclon signal. I stopped because it was the only signal I had heard, and I never heard from the signal again, but when I was swinging my coil around I heard the high, sweet, melodic tone of a quarter. The signal repeated, over and over again. It was the first quarter signal I had gotten in a while. But when I tried to did I realized I had my limp, floppy sandals on for no reason. I had to go inside and change my shoes just my luck! After what seemed like a lifetime, packed into 3 minutes, I was able to return to ground-zero. I started digging, only to hit something hard, I thought it was a pipe, but thankfully it was just a root that I easily removed. I finally pulled my target out of the hole, but alas! a worm was blocking my path. I quickly put the worm in its place..... back in the hole. Mr. Worm was hiding my best find yet. I moved the plug and I saw the coin fall out, at first I was glad it was a coin, but then I looked closer. The coin had a silver tint to it.
I said aloud, "This can't be silver." And I flicked the dirt off the coin without damaging the coin, the work of a master. I looked for the date, and I saw it, 1936. I was ecstatic. I yelled to the world at high noon, "Yes! Yes! Finally," and ran inside to show my Grandmother. She congratulated me and I put it in a coin flip and there it lies to this day.
Well, I had to make the story interesting for you. Hope you enjoyed!
