I've been on the sidelines of the silver game for a while. Silver (90%) coins were 16x face last I knew.

I was recently able to get a handful of mercs for $1.40 each, some barbers in there too (that warmed my heart )

I also bought one ASE at $23 that was a BU 1989.

What have you guys been paying for:
90%
ASEs
Sterling
generic rounds?

Thanks for any help catching back up!

I am finding a little cheaper now (Spring) than the Fall and winter prices (Were high)..Fall-Win those Merc dimes never went below 2 or 2.30, now can get then for 1.75 This is but one example..I say now til Aug maybe buy,,good price...Sell again in late Fall is price is higher..same story for 14 as it was for 2013 I say..

I only buy during the winter, as I get all my silver dimes, quarters and halves at face through dirtfishing and roll hunting, during the warm months. Hundreds of silvers at face.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors...
Roll hunting since '77
Dirt fishing since '72

I do those things too, but not much anymore. Besides the fact that it's real slim pickins around here, I have 26 credit at school right now and don't have time for CRH or MDing.

I find myself very lucky to be able to pay the very small premiums on the silver I buy at my LCS, although it has rendered me unable to buy almost any non-numismatic silver coins online as I find those prices pretty high. Here's my pricing:

ASE's/Maples/Libertads/etc.: Spot + $4
90%/80%/92.5%/World scrap silver (Including Barber's, Merc's, Geroge V Dimes, Queen Victoria Coinage): Just Melt (Wohoo!)
Generic 0.999 Silver: Spot + $1-$2

zxcccxz: Do you pay the "book weight" (ASW) for your scrap coins or do you weigh it on a scale and pay by the gram?
