Here's a new raw purchase that the seller described as BU. The luster seems a bit weak but overall this looks like a solid example for my type set. The details are all there and I see few if any hairlines.
What do you all think? Is this a keeper?

Looks like an excellent example. Is there some toning going on that we cannot see from the photo?

Jaobler the coin is a solid keeper. It's either a high AU or BU as described by the seller. I am unable to distinguish without a closer look at the high points and a spin for lustre.

Very Nice pickup Jao, BU, that I can't tell without seeing the coin. Sure is nice regardless.

I probably wouldn't pay higher than AU money for it, especially if it has weak luster like you mentioned. It has very little (if any) wear, but might market grade as an AU50-53.

What's that adjacent to the U in UNITED?

Thanks for the input, everyone!
Dave, under the microscope that spot next to U in United appears as a bright greenish patch of crud. It's slightly raised above the surrounding surface. The edges seem to blend into the silver, so I'd guess it is some kind of corrosion. There is another, smaller green spot hidden in M of America.
In hand the toning is darker and more silvery than my photos show. Overall eye appeal is pretty good. The only thing that bothers me is the relative lack of luster. I'm still waffling about whether to keep it. If I do, I may want to send it to SuperDave so he can include it with his next group grading submission.

I like, I kinda like the toning on it too. I think it's at least an AU55.
