Has anyone ever attended the Atlanta Whitman Expo? I've never gone to a coin show. However, I'm thinking of driven to Atlanta on the Saturday of the show with my daughter. I assume there isn't any age restrictions to attend the show? I ask as I've seen some trade shows bar anyone under 12 even with adult supervision.

Anything specific people look for at these type of shows? I doubt I'll have the cash to buy anything more than supplies but I try to keep my eye open.

That's about 30 miles from my parents house. I might have to go make me a visit if I can :)

It's literally 5 minutes down the road from my house, so I'm definately going. I was there last year too, and it's a really great show for adults and YN's. There aren't any age restrictions, and if your daughter's going too you may want to see when the YN program is this year. I think it was Saturday last year, but I'm not positive. Whitman is really trying to make this a huge show, and they're doing pretty good too. Most of the national dealers are there, and there are some really cool coins on display. PM me if you want more info.

Normally there are no age restrictions at any coin shows. In fact I've seen kids of almost every possible age. Here is a word of warning though. If your kid is a coin collector, don't take a lot of money with you. There will be to many of those "Dad, I've just got to have that". Or "Gee, Dad, I sure would like one of those" Or "I've wanted that for my entire life".
