I can't believe anyone paid even the $78 (shipped) that it went for. Sure, if it was problem free, it might be worth triple that much, but this is a coin to avoid. Every time the winner will look at that coin (and I apologize for being so blunt, if he/she's reading this right now), they'll say, "Gee, I wish I had a better example".

Oh, wow. Yeah, that coin's junk, no doubt

Reminds me of back when I was relatively new at coin collecting. I bought an Indian Head cent that looked similar to that (corrosion) and had another dealer later tell me that I was ripped off, because the corrosion made the coin worthless. Good times...

Maybe someone need a filler...or they're idiots and thought that the price in the RedBook is what it's actually worth.

Yea ive made some mistakes buying corroded coins... but not like that. I bought a 1864 Two Cent Piece but when I got home to look at it there was more corrosion thaan I thought.

Oh well.

Notice no return policy stated? Sure would like to know the history of coins like that. I don't think it's corrosion but some kind of attack of possibly a blast sander or something like that. Sure feel sorry for people that buy stuff like that.
