I was able to find that this coin is from 1883 (AH 1327). I hope that is correct. I am unsure of its origin and coin value back then and today. Any help is much appreciated. The coin has a 3.5cm diameter.

Thank you for your help. I uploaded larger pictures of each side. Is this coin rare?

The ID Petrus gave is correct. The link Petrus gave gives you the current catalogue value. It's not super-rare, but neither is it the type of coin you should be finding in a coin dealer's "Foreign Coins - 3 for $1" bucket. In this condition it's still worth somewhere around $50, perhaps a bit less given the corrosion spots.
